Summary
Torn Faction Helper is an unofficial community tool used for faction coordination.
- We store and process Torn data to power faction features.
- Faction admins can see more operational data than regular members including equipment, cooldowns current energy etc.
- Some background services run on schedules, even when you are logged out.
- This tool is actively developed; data usage may expand as new features are added.
Torn API Key Usage
What We Do With API Keys
By registering with Torn Faction Helper, you agree to:
- Provide a valid Torn API key from your own Torn account.
- Allow us to store your key encrypted for scheduled/background processing.
- Allow us to use your key for profile, faction, bars, cooldowns, logs, gym, equipment, and related feature calls.
- Understand that some features use faction Discord bot API keys (also stored encrypted) for faction-level automation.
API Key Permissions Required
Your API key requires Custom Access with these specific permissions:
- User: basic, personalstats, profile, bars, cooldowns, log, equipment, gym, perks, battlestats
- Faction: basic, members, chain, chains
Permission Details (User Key):

⚠️ Important: Never use a full-access key if not required. Use custom-access keys with minimum permissions.
Automated Background Processing
ℹ️ How It Works:
- Background services may refresh faction/user data on configured schedules.
- You do NOT need to be logged in for these schedules to run.
- Schedules can vary by feature and may change over time.
Polling Schedules:

Data Storage & Privacy
What We Store
- Account data: Email, hashed password, Torn user ID, username.
- Encrypted secrets: Torn API key, optional TornStats API key, Discord bot API/webhook values (faction config).
- Faction/member data: Faction membership, position, status, energy, cooldowns, activity fields, and sync timestamps.
- Feature data: Chain schedules/slots/check-ins, linked chains, company records, gym logs, equipment snapshots, OC CPR snapshots, OC history snapshots, and notification settings.
- Integration data: Discord user ID if you link your Discord account.
Who Can See What
- Faction members: Shared faction coordination data relevant to normal use.
- Faction chain admins: Extended faction management/coordination views.
- Tool admins: Operational/admin pages used to maintain the service.
Data Retention
- Data is retained while your account is active, unless explicitly cleared by feature actions.
- You can delete your account at any time from account settings.
- Some faction-level historical/operational records may remain if not directly tied to personal identity.
Data Security
- Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms
- API keys are encrypted before storage in the database
- Service configuration and storage behavior can evolve as features change.
- This is a hobby/community project - use at your own risk.
Development Status & Future Changes
Torn Faction Helper is under active development. New features may introduce additional data collection, storage, processing, and sharing within your faction context.
- New pages/services may be added without prior notice.
- Polling schedules and data fields may change.
- This Terms page will be updated as functionality expands.

🚨 Warning: Sharing API keys with third-party apps always carries risk.
Use the "Generate API Key" button to create a key with only the required permissions, and never provide Full Access Keys to any external service.
Your Rights
